AKEN designs, fabricates and erects industrial steel structures, and keeps existing plants serviceable. Everything below runs through the same shop and the same crews, which is why the interfaces — between frame and foundation, between structure and envelope, between new steel and old — are ours to close rather than yours to arbitrate.

Pre-engineered buildings, industrial sheds, mezzanine floors and insulated cold-store structures — designed, fabricated and erected under one contract.

Metal roof sheeting, wall cladding, flashings and gutters, and PUF insulated panel systems for controlled-environment buildings.

Anchoring & chemical fixing

Mechanical wedge anchors, chemical anchoring for threaded rods, and post-installed rebar connections in existing concrete.

Wedge Anchor InstallationMechanical expansion anchors set out, drilled, cleaned and torqued to the published data for the system — for base plates, brackets and supports in existing concrete.Chemical AnchoringThreaded rods bonded into existing concrete with two-part adhesive cartridges — holes drilled, cleaned, injected and cured to the system data for the substrate temperature.Rebar AnchoringDeformed reinforcement bars bonded into existing concrete — hole and bar size matched, embedment set by design, and the bond developed in concrete that is already cured.

Maintenance, retrofitting & shutdown

Structural retrofitting and strengthening, and planned dismantling and shutdown work on live industrial plant.

Structural RetrofittingStrengthening design, in-house fabrication and installation on structures that are already standing and often already in service — surveyed, assessed and certified before a plate is fixed.Dismantling & ShutdownPlanned dismantling of steel structures and shutdown maintenance inside operating plants — sequenced, permitted, lifted under control and closed out with the site clear and the scrap accounted for.

Based in Hirakud, Sambalpur, with a second office in Bhubaneswar. Core operations cover Odisha — Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Hirakud, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Angul, Paradip, Balasore, Kalinganagar — and larger scopes are mobilised anywhere in India.
